A festive greeting begins before the translation arrives
A holiday greeting works as a social exchange, not an isolated sentence. Listen for the opening words, pause and response; then imitate the whole sequence with the same calm rhythm. A correct reply should arrive without translating each word internally.
General wishes often use srećan with a masculine noun and srećna with a feminine noun: Srećan Božić, but Srećna Nova godina. The adjective agrees with the noun being celebrated, not with the person receiving the greeting.

Watch the greeting without subtitles and copy its rhythm with neutral syllables. Next, say three real greetings: one informal singular, one polite plural and one addressed to an entire family.
