Six consonants enter before the picture is allowed
Č is a firm postalveolar sound, while ć is softer and produced farther forward. Š contrasts with plain s; đ is a soft affricate and must not collapse into d. Listen to the whole word, then isolate the target consonant only if the contrast remains unclear.
Greetings are excellent pronunciation tests because they should remain automatic and warm. Do not interrupt every phrase to correct yourself. Record the whole exchange, identify one sound that blurred meaning, and repeat only that word before restoring the sentence.
