Short questions and answers are the quickest route from passive knowledge to real conversation. This Serbian speaking exercise helps you practise basic exchanges first with informal ti, and then with formal or plural Vi.
Practise Serbian questions with ti and Vi
Use ti with one person you know well. Use Vi when speaking politely to one person or when addressing several people. The verb changes with the pronoun:
- Kako se zoveš? = What is your name? (informal singular)
- Kako se zovete? = What is your name? (formal) / What are your names? (plural)
- Odakle si? = Where are you from? (informal singular)
- Odakle ste? = Where are you from? (formal or plural)
