Context Chooses More Than the Dictionary Does

Begin aloud with “Doneli smo odluku posle dugog razgovora.”. The key is choosing verbs by collocation, aspect and the surrounding situation; “Ona je postavila pitanje u pravom trenutku.” gives you a second context in which meaning and form must stay connected.

Copy “Učesnici su izneli različite predloge.” in the other Serbian alphabet from memory. After correcting the spelling, extend the thought with a reason or contrast.

Five Verbs Anchored in Real Collocations

Without looking, dictate “Grad ulaže sredstva u obnovu škole.” to yourself in Latin script and “Novinar je pokrenuo važnu temu.” in Cyrillic. Check the forms, then use both ideas in a compact spoken summary.

Replace the Verb and Observe the New Meaning

Translate the meanings without copying. When every line is complete in both scripts, compare your third answer with “Učesnici su izneli različite predloge.” and correct the remaining forms.
