Choose a tone of voice for “Obično pešačim, ali sam juče išla autobusom.” and a setting for “Marko sada uči, a sinoć je gledao film.”. Pronunciation, grammar and intention should point in the same direction.
Our topic today is a lesson from Serbian 201 course. I added one more exercise to the course and I am sure you will enjoy practicing useful phrases through various games:

Time words provide the first clue, but verb forms must confirm it. Contrast a current habit or action with a completed past event and keep past-participle agreement accurate.
Let the Time Marker Choose the Tense
Copy only the key phrase from “Obično pešačim, ali sam juče išla autobusom.”. Apply it to the situation in “Marko sada uči, a sinoć je gledao film.”, then contrast both with “Subotom pijemo čaj; prošle subote smo pili kafu.”.

Five Present–Past Contrasts
Finish with “Ona često zove baku, ali je nije zvala juče.” and “Danas je toplo, dok je jutros bilo hladno.”. One should become a short dialogue; the other should be recorded twice, with clearer rhythm and more confident recall on the second attempt.
