Let the ending identify the woman speaking
When a woman speaks about a past action in Serbian, the active past participle usually ends in -la: radila sam, stigla sam, pročitala sam. A male speaker uses -o or -ao: radio sam, stigao sam, pročitao sam. The auxiliary sam stays the same; the participle carries gender.
This difference appears outside the past tense too. A woman says Volela bih for “I would like,” while a man says Voleo bih. Listen to the video as a character study: do not merely catch what happened; notice how the speaker’s identity is woven into every relevant verb form.

Change the camera angle
Tell one short event first as a man, then as a woman. Change only the forms that must agree with the speaker. For example: Umoran sam se vratio kući becomes Umorna sam se vratila kući. This exposes agreement in both the adjective and the verb.

Gendered endings are not decorative details. They are part of the message, so practise them from the speaker’s point of view.
