Three questions can open a real conversation

Kako se zoveš? Gde živiš? Gde radiš? ask for your name, home and workplace. They use the informal ti form, suitable for a friend, another student or a child. In a polite conversation, change them to Kako se zovete? Gde živite? Gde radite?

Your answers do not need to be long. Begin with one clear sentence for each question: Zovem se… Živim u… Radim u… Once those feel easy, add a detail with ali, i or a.

Trenutno ne radim; završavam važan kurs.	Тренутно не радим; завршавам важан курс.	I am not working at the moment; I am completing an important course.

Listen to one answer and reuse a detail when you respond. If someone says Živim u Nišu, ask Da li voliš Niš? Conversation grows when you react instead of simply reciting your prepared introduction.
