The question Gde si sada? invites an answer about location. Serbian normally uses u or na followed by the locative: u parku, u školi, na poslu, na pijaci. The final vowel often changes, so learn the place together with its preposition.

A yes-or-no question begins naturally with Da li: Da li si u parku? Answer Da, u parku sam or Ne, nisam u parku. Changing only one location keeps the game quick and gives you many repetitions without sounding mechanical.

Guess with fewer and fewer clues

Choose a place secretly. Your partner may ask five questions beginning with Da li si…? After every “no,” give one clue using a verb: Čitam, plivam or čekam avion. The place and action then form one memorable scene.

  2. Complete: Ona je na ______. (posao)
  3. Make negative: On je u banci.
  4. Ask informally: “Are you at the market?”
  5. Convert to Cyrillic: Gde ste sada?
