Separate Shared Facts from Competing Interpretations
Draw three columns: information found in both texts, details unique to the first, and details unique to the second. A shared fact does not automatically support a shared conclusion. Look closely at verbs such as tvrditi, navoditi, priznati and pretpostaviti, because each one signals a different degree of commitment. Adjectives and adverbs can also reveal evaluation even when the factual content appears neutral. State each contrast in Serbian with dok, za razliku od, međutim or nasuprot tome.
